Haby Barry is the founder of Fulaba, a boutique jewelry brand that provides timeless jewelry from African high culture. Although she started with Fulani jewelry because of her heritage, her goal was always to go beyond and feature jewelry from the royalty and nobility of other African ethnic groups and political empires. Fulaba has been featured in several publications, including Allure and Essence magazines and worn by influencers and celebrities, including Alicia Keys.

Diaraye Barry has extensive experience in logistics, business administration, human resources and project and event management. After spending a few months in New York, her love for black culture reached another level from the experiences she had participating with a group of individuals who created impactful initiatives through art and business. Later while living in England, Diaraye joined the London Black Expression group (a group that focuses on promoting cultural events that navigates around African-Caribbean culture) as a co-organizer alongside the late founder Angela Dolor.
For the past 4 years, Diaraye has been a key collaborator of the African Cultural Center founded by her late and beloved friend, artist Hilaire Penda, in working to expand its presence throughout Europe.
Ethel-Ruth Tawe (b.1994, Yaoundé, Cameroon) is a multidisciplinary artist and creative consultant, engaging dialogue on African identity and diaspora cultures through visual storytelling. The concept of time is central in her practice, examining Africa’s past, present and futures from a magical realist lens.

Robin Bates has dedicated over 20 years to highlighting the Black Diaspora in France. Robin studied French language and culture at the Université de Paris, Sorbonne and returned to her native San Francisco with the vision to bring Paris’ Black culture to the forefront. In 1998, Bates launched the award-winning, Café de la Soul * Your Black Paris Portal, the first website to highlight the African American community in Paris.
In 2013, Bates expanded upon the concept of Café de la Soul to create Maison Noire Américaine, a more comprehensive organization and resource with an additional focus on fostering friendship and a deeper sense of community between diverse French, African American & Afro-Francophone cultures.
In addition to her ongoing commitment to connecting and championing the Black Diaspora in America and France, Bates is an avid supporter of increasing African American student participation in study abroad programs. Bates resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her two children.
