Guy Johnson in Conversation with Belva Davis

Please join us for a very special conversation with Guy Johnson, author and son of acclaimed poet and activist Dr. Maya Angelou, and award-winning journalist Belva Davis. Johnson and Davis will discuss the legacy and life work of Maya Angelou and her impact on a new generation of artists. We will feature tracks from Caged Bird Songs, a musical collaboration that thoughtfully blends the iconic poet's words with contemporary hip hop.

Rapper Bicasso will perform a spoken word tribute and film & television actor Delroy Lindo will read some of his favorite pieces by Dr. Angelou.‍

The conversation will be followed by a reception of wine and light refreshments.
