About

Celebrate NBA All Star Weekend at MoAD with a discussion about Art Collecting in the NBA.

Join us for a conversation with former NBA player Wilson Chandler and Art Advisor Gardy St. Fleur, moderated by Bay Area newscaster Carolyn Tyler. The discussion will be followed by a reception.

Wilson Chandler is a versatile professional whose career spans from the NBA courts to the world of real estate investment and community development. Known for his athletic prowess and strategic thinking on the basketball court, Wilson has successfully transitioned from being a respected NBA player to an influential figure in real estate and community investment.

Throughout his 13-year NBA career, Wilson demonstrated not only his skills on the court but also a keen eye for opportunities beyond the game, laying the foundation for his future ventures. He played for several teams, including the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Clippers, and Brooklyn Nets.

Recognizing the importance of planning for life after basketball, Wilson wisely invested in real estate, particularly focusing on his hometown of Benton Harbor, Michigan. In 2020, he invested in downtown development projects, aiming to improve buildings and attract developers to the area. This strategic investment not only showcased his business acumen but also his commitment to community development.

As Wilson continues to build his post-NBA career, his journey serves as an inspiration to aspiring investors and athletes alike, showcasing the potential for successful transitions from professional sports to business and community development.
