About
MoAD will celebrate the national observance of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday as a Day of Service, providing FREE admission to the museum and programs throughout the day.
Through art, performance and music, our special guests will help us reflect on the importance of protest, creativity and diverse communities. Prescott Circus Theater will delight people of all ages in front of the museum, and performances by Marcus Shelby and his Youth Orchestra, and CO-LLAB Choir pay tribute to King and the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement. A family art activity and gallery scavenger hunt connects families to our current exhibitions -- Liberatory Living: Protective Interiors & Radical Black Joy; What We Carry to Set Ourselves Free by Helina Metaferia; and Cosmic Ceremony by Soleé Darrell. Come together to celebrate the life and achievements of one of our nation's greatest heroes.
We need volunteers to help us on MLK Day at MoAD! If you would like to volunteer at MoAD on MLK Day, please fill out this form:
