Join us for a Family Art Workshop! The first in the series is Painting Rocks!

On Tuesday March 30th, we will be painting rocks collected from daily walks. Three designs will be demonstrated during the Zoom meeting, however it is not required to do any of the suggested designs. The goal of these are to encourage as much creativity as possible and the designs for anyone who would like to incorporate them into their rock art!

Crafts can be completed by all ages, however the recommended age range for this craft is 6-12 years old. This is meant to be a craft that the entire family can do, so an adult supervisor is required to attend, and highly encouraged to craft alongside the child. No artistic skill required!

Nature supplies can be collected on daily walks. Don’t forget to wash and dry your rocks and leaves before attending the Zoom (or as soon as you get back inside).

Instructions for Rock Painting!

Supplies: 3 or more Rocks (preferably flat and smooth), paint (preferably acrylic paint), paintbrushes, optional permanent markers

If you would like you do any of the suggested designs here’s the list of additional supplies need for them:

Dots - pencils with erasers (will be painted on) or dotting tools (non-brush side of the paintbrush can also be used), wet paper towel

Leaves - leaves found on walk

Animal - reference photo of preferred animal

You will receive instructions to join via zoom after you sign up here. Look for an email from MoAD after you sign up, if you don’t receive it in your inbox, look in your spam or junk mail.

There will be two additional Family Art Workshop in this series:
