About
Join us every second Saturday for "Thrive @ MoAD," proudly sponsored by Kaiser Permanente. Enjoy family-friendly activities and free admission to all our exhibitions. Let’s come together to foster new relationships and drive meaningful connections over our shared passion for contemporary Black art, community, and culture. Visit MoAD!
Across the globe, museums are increasingly being recognized as having an important role to play in promoting personal and social well-being in partnership with the health care industry. Studies have shown that engagement with art and culture aid in brain function, processing trauma, and reducing the stigma of mental illness.
WALK-IN TICKETS ARE WELCOME AND AVAILABLE.
From 12-2pm, join us for a family art activity led by teaching artist Nicole Dixon in the MoAD lobby.
At 1pm MoAD invites visitors to explore the current exhibitions on view with a family-friendly tour! Meet in the lobby at 1pm to begin the tour.
From 2-3:30pm in the 2nd floor Salon, join Emerging Artist Program Awardee Zekarias Musele Thompson for an activation and artist talk of their exhibition The Meeting Place. Light refreshments will be served.
MoAD and Kaiser Permanente are committed to increasing access to the positive health outcomes of arts engagement and providing resources on overall well-being for our community.
