Lalin St. Juste has been tapping into her magic and sharing it with audiences for over a decade. Recognized for her work as lead singer for electronic live band The Seshen, Lalin St. Juste has also made a name for herself as a singer-songwriter, producer, and co-founder of label arthouse 7000COILS.

‍

Lalin’s current sonic landscape has been inspired by breath and memory, as shown by her last release, Vertulie - a homage to her maternal grandmother and Haitian heritage.  Building upon this foundation, Lalin now expands upon this work into the auditory exploration of the body, water, and ancestral language. Through a fusion of electronic and live instrumentation, she crafts a sonic portal that is distinctively hers, inviting listeners into a world where sound becomes a conduit for profound connection and self-discovery.

A guided tour of MoAD's exhibitions will be held prior to the performance. This tour is restricted to ticket-holders for the 2pm performance. Space is limited, registration is required. You will receive information on how to register for the tour upon purchasing tickets for the performance.

This program is presented in conjunction with the current exhibition "!!!!!," a new body of work by acclaimed British visual artist and painter Rachel Jones. On view March 27 - September 1, 2024. Please note that viewing this exhibition will not be available to the general public until after the performance has concluded at 3:15pm on April 6.
